Team Activities - Lets get together
The generals and our capitan will be posting team activities here, such as conquest missions and territory assaults. Everything will be posted in Eastern Standard Time, so know your time zones. Pacific is 3 hours behind est, mountain is 2 hours and Centeral is only one hour behind.
Re: Team Activities - Lets get together
For those who don't know, the generals are myself (unit 77), unit 19, and unit 7. 99 of course is our captain.

Re: Team Activities - Lets get together
So once we get more of our fellow units onto the forums it looks like what we should do is just plan a buddy system to run territory missions, now we have 20 untits total making up five four man teams for invasion missions and four five man teams for conquest missions (never run conquests without an op if you can help it!) we need to make specific teams that work well together which is why we need to start a training regiment together as a whole team (Check the training logs for more info on specializing, more on that there) now for those of us that are on the forums and registered already I'd like to get a little feedback, just tell me what you think, add on, offer ideas, whatever you want to say, I'd love to hear from you all. Thanks!

THIS MEANS WAR!!
Alright team we're taking back the Marine Facility (MF). If you're not running conquests or working on an AC or other things then you should be running invasions in the MF, burn it down, burn it all to the ground. For you newer players who don't know how to set up a mission, here's how you do it:
World menu-
Start mission-
Marine Facility-
(select the yellow turret sign)-
Invasion-
(choose any of the 4 mission types, conquest and obstructive tactics are easiest)-
(use the left analog stick to raise the star rating til you see 10,000 - oo)
-then start the mission
If you don't think you can run one of these missions on your own then bring a team mate. If you run into an enemy team then just do your best to beat them, if you fail then don't worry about it (we expect this to happen from time to time, but the enemy can't defend everywhere at once.), we'll just keep running missions. It's more beneficial to our cause if you run the missions alone because we can do more damage faster throughout the other territories, the missions may go a little slower but the progress towards taking territory will be faster.
Keep running missions and if a general says we're ready to attempt a conquest then ready up with them and help take back what's ours. We are Unknown Unit, Guardians of the Marine Facility, and we are here to take back what belongs to us.

CLOSE RANGE TEAM?
how many close range units are there on UU and how will they be sorted exactly? i wanna start experimenting with other builds but so far i think im getting alright results now and again with medium close range mechs so i was wondering how those like myself will be sorted when it comes to team objectives for example: will it be two close range units with each four or five man groups that the team is split into in order to conquest? please excuse any stupid questions im still fairly new and the communication issues im having kinda slow me down but im getting a mic tomorrow so no worries...

Re: Team Activities - Lets get together
Hey 9, just saw this post of yours and I thought I should give you a better explaination. We want units that can function both close AND mid range, rifles, pmgs, etc. I'll give a good example of how it would square out.
Unit 99 - Short-long range (99 is weird like that)
Unit 77 - Long - Mid range
Unit 19 - Operator
Unit 07 // Unit 42 - Tank/Heavy bipedal unit (terrain specific)
Unit 09 - med-close
That is the ideal set up as far as specifics go
So basically we want to be able to attack from any given vantage point
Short to long
Mid to Long
Mid to Short
Short range only (This is specifically if the unit only functions up close and personal, say pile drivers and blades)
I would ideally like to have a team where everyone can function at two distances no matter what, and hopefully diverse distances as well so that we can keep an enemy at bay and use our Units to the best of the situation whether we are attacking or defending. does that make a little more sense?

No, I realize that, just an example really. And I know that tanks can get messed up if the terrain is not well suited for it.
